That Which Survives

There is a pain that words cannot express,
    a fear that cannot be stilled,
    a loneliness beyond feeling,
    a sorrow with no end.
There is a longing that cannot be filled,
There are tears that never run out.
There is a love that has borne them all,
And there is a hope that endures.
